about

“Formation” - a single in three variations

“Formation” represents an exploration of different writing and production methods. The release consists of a single musical piece reinterpreted over three separate tracks, created in chronological order, each with a distinct approach to arrangement and composition. The primary aim of the overall project is to put a spotlight on the production process and how the same piece of musical material can take different shapes under different circumstances.

released January 26, 2018

All music written, performed, recorded, and mixed by Josiah Bibb.*

*except all percussion elements of (B), which were collaboratively written, performed, and recorded with Thomas Boccafogli.
These same elements were reused for (C).

All tracks mastered by Felipe Giannazzo, whose support, insight, and technical prowess elevates my work to a degree that is most sincerely valued.
