While the (A) track represents the core of Formation, the (B) track is its centerpiece, showcasing a style and arrangement most typical of a Sollunar work. Almost the entirety of the (A) track is retained in the acoustic guitar part, with its harmonic and rhythmic characteristics being highlighted and expanded upon by the addition of electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, and percussion. Though its structure is nearly identical to (A), the (B) track attempts to introduce further levels of excitement and textural movement to the preexisting work.
The first steps taken in shaping this version were the writing and recording of all percussion elements, both of which were completed collaboratively alongside Thomas Boccafogli, whose input and skill contributed greatly to the final direction. After the rhythmic character was established, melodic instruments were worked in, resulting in a full-bodied rendition of the piece.
